UK rules check
Rules checked. The maker’s UK instructions require professional hardwiring. This confirms the installation boundary; it is not an independent certification of model-specific grid approval.

Direct-PV storage in the STREAM ecosystem. Verify the exact panel voltage/current limits and supported interconnections. A portable DELTA or RIVER power station is a separate product class.
Who it suits
- Homes wanting storage for compatible solar generation or tariff scheduling
- Buyers comparing a 3.84 kWh unit with larger 5 kWh home batteries
- An existing STREAM setup where the maker confirms the exact combination
Who should skip it
- Anyone expecting a UK household-socket installation
- Whole-house backup without an installer-designed arrangement
- Buyers treating multi-unit power or overseas savings examples as single-unit UK results
What you need
- Qualified electrician for the UK hardwired connection
- Compatible solar panels and cables if using the PV inputs
- EcoFlow app and the required metering for the chosen control mode
- Four solar inputs allow separate compatible panel strings
- Larger stated storage than a 1.92 kWh STREAM unit
- A 10-year warranty is stated on the UK page
- Electrician and installation cost must be budgeted
- 1,200W appliance output is distinct from 800W grid feed
- Savings depend on tariff, usage, installation and system configuration
Common questions
Can I plug the STREAM Ultra X into a UK wall socket?
The UK manufacturer FAQ requires the STREAM DIY cable to be wired into the distribution board by a qualified installer or electrician. Generic plug-and-play marketing does not establish permission for socket feed-in.
Does the Ultra X provide 2,300W from one battery?
The specification distinguishes 800W grid-tied output, 1,200W AC output and a higher supported-device figure. Configuration and operating mode matter; do not treat 2,300W marketing as continuous single-unit battery output.
Is 3.84 kWh the energy I get from AC sockets?
It is the manufacturer stated battery capacity. Inverter and charging losses mean delivered AC energy is lower; size a savings scenario using usable energy for the actual installation.
