Can I plug the STREAM 5000 into a wall socket?

No, and EcoFlow says so explicitly. It must be connected by a qualified electrician and must not feed power in through a household socket. This is the single most important fact about this product.

What is the difference between the STREAM 5000 and the STREAM AC 5000?

STREAM 5000 has direct solar inputs; STREAM AC 5000 is the separate AC-coupled battery. The UK maker prices checked 17 October 2026 were £1,699 and £1,599 respectively, excluding installation. The AC 5000 has its own model page; compare its base output and expansion separately.
